Bravery

This past weekend at Gwynn Ski Hill my oldest daughter Emma braved the ‘slush pit’ for her last run of the day. Unlike the guy pictured above, my daughter didn’t actually make it across the pit. Her skis tipped in and she ended up sinking in the middle of the icy cold water. But she did it with a smile on her face and a laugh in her heart. Her braveness makes me proud.
She was soaked thru, but thankfully the day was warm and there were giant heaters to dry clothes and warm toes and fingers. She has already worked it out in her mind how much faster she needs to go and how much more she will need to sit back on her heels to ensure she will skim across the slush pit and come out the other side – champion!

Hey Emma…you go girl! I have no doubt you will get through and make champion! Great post and pic!
