Meet Heather
My name is Heather. I am a 35 year old mother of two amazing little girls, Emma and Hannah. I have been married to my high-school sweetheart, Steve for 9 years and we live in a rural Alberta village (and love it). I wasn’t always a country girl, in fact, I could pick up and move to the big apple tomorrow, but for now, this will do.
I decided to blog because a friend of mine was doing it…and if all my friends were jumping off a bridge, I would too. Not everyone likes what I write, but that is okay with me. I hope you can find the humour in the sharing of my life. I certainly do my best to find the humour in all that happens to me on a daily basis.
I love to cook, I like to bake. Over the past few years I have been transformed into somewhat of a local food gal. I even went so far this past year as to grow my own chickens and slaughter them! I love to read. I love winter storms and curling up with a blanket and a good movie. I adore my family more than anything – well, Payday candybars are a close second. I often put my foot in my mouth, but I think I am getting pretty good at saying sorry. I make mistakes, but do my best to learn and never make them twice. I do my best to mean what I say. My favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz, my favorite colour is green and the one person I would love to sit down with, living or dead would be my mom.

Oh Heather,
I think you are a spectacular mom and a beatuiful woman. When you retell these stories to your girls, they will realize just how much of an amazing mom you are. Never change!!

Hi Heather…
I just happened to read your blog and thanks to Yulis (from Colorado), her blog has led me here..
I’m Lala, from Indonesia. I’m a regular girl who loves to write about anything. I have my own blog but I’m sorry.. it’s written in Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language).
But it’s always nice to read someone’s blog from other part of the world… That makes me realize, how small the world is..
Love to see the beautiful daughters of yours…
Be happy always…
Lala
Dear Heather,
I’m a fellow WordPress blogger…
A few days ago, while doing some random searching in the Internet, I came across post on Blogger.com – someone calling themselves “Adrian Riley.”
It turns out he had plagiarized one of my fiancee’s posts and was passing it off as one of his original works.
After doing some additional checking, I discovered that he has been doing quite a bit of “cutting and pasting” other folks posts to his site without linking back to the original site – thus making it seem that he had written the post himself.
Your post: “Slow Drivers Piss Me Off!” is on his site, word for word, without giving you due credit…
You can find it at: http://peeling-back-layers.blogspot.com/2008/12/slow-drivers-piss-me-off.html
Forgive me for contacting you this way, but I thought you should know…
Best Regards,
